Submission Guidelines

The Chinese Journal of geological hazards and Control (Bimonthly) is an academic journal in charge of China Geological Survey, sponsored by China Institute of Geo-Environment Monitoring and China Association of Geological Hazard Prevention. It reflects the discipline of geological disasters and is publicly distributed domestic and abroad. 

This journal implements the "double hundred" policy, combines theory with practice, and makes full use of geological disaster prevention technology. The editorial department attaches great importance to the quality of journals. This journal is well received by its peers Welcome to contribute actively.


The journal publishes the research achievements on collapse, landslide, debris flow, ground subsidence, ground subsidence, ground fissure, earthquake, loess collapse, swelling and shrinkage of cohesive soil, thawing of frozen soil, groundwater pollution, seawater intrusion, mine water inrush, rock burst, gas explosion, soil erosion, land desertification, salinization and other geological disasters induced by natural and human engineering economic activities.


2.1 Submit


The simplified words shall be subject to those promulgated by the State Council

2.2 Manuscripts

It should include title, author, fund project, author's introduction, abstract, key words, introduction, text, conclusion, references and so on.

2.3 Title

No more than 10 notional words in foreign language titles.

2.4 Author

Work unit, location and postcode

The author's name is in Chinese pinyin.

2.5 Funds

If the paper has project funding, the full name and number of the funded project shall be indicated.

2.6 Introduction to the author

The first author's name (year of birth), gender , nationality - Han nationality can be omitted, native place, education background, professional title and research direction of the first author shall be given. Note at the foot of the front page.

2.7 Abstract (including English Abstract)

The third person method should be used to describe the research purpose, viewpoint, train of thought, method, result and conclusion (including existing problems). In order to communicate, the Chinese abstract should be no more than 500 Chinese characters; the English abstract should be consistent with the Chinese part. Chinese phonetic alphabet should be used for Chinese place names and names of people.

2.8 Key words

Generally 3-8 words, with English key words.

2.9 Introduction

Including the goal of the paper, research scope, theoretical basis, technical program, etc. Avoid being identical with the abstract.

2.10 Text

This is the core part of the paper and should occupy the main space.

2.10.1 Manuscripts must be realistic and accurate. Each article is generally no more than 16000 words (including pictures, tables and references for 8 pages and 2 editions of the pictures). The news report should be no more than 1000 words, and the special lectures can be serialized by stages.

2.10.2 The titles in this paper are hierarchical, and the titles are graded as follows: 1 (left alignment), 1.1 (left alignment), 1.1.1 (left alignment) Form.

2.10.3 For the foreign name in the text, please give the full name of the original surname and first name. For foreign place names below the province or prefecture level, the original text shall be noted.

2.10.4 Arabic characters shall be used for all numbers. All relevant units of measurement shall be in accordance with the law of the people's Republic of China. Please underline the foreign language in italics. Please indicate the type of letters that are easy to be confused, upper and lower case, upper and lower corner marks, etc. The same term, unit of measurement, name of person and place name should be unified.

2.11 The notes of tables, formulas, etc. are marked with asterisks (*). Other notes are indicated by Arabic numerals in semicircular brackets. Except that the notes of the figures and tables are placed directly under the figures and tables, the rest are footnotes.

2.12 Clear color maps shall be submitted, in which the title and legend shall be placed outside the frame. The maps must be drawn on the latest geographical map published by map publishing house. If the map is simple, it can occupy half of the column, and the width is less than 7.5 cm. The characters inside the map are in Song typeface SIx (equivalent to 7.5); the legend is represented by frame and placed on the map name outside the frame, which is distinguished by 1 and 2; 1 -; 2 -; shall be used to distinguish the Illustrations, which shall be placed below the title of the drawing; If the map is complex and can not be represented by half column, full column can be used, with width no more than 13.5 cm.

2.13 The source of the cited data (including data, figures and tables) shall be indicated.

2.14 The conclusion should be concise and to the point.

2.15 References

Only the published documents (both in Chinese and English) are listed and listed in the order in which they appear; those not published in public are listed in footnotes. The serial number is indicated by square brackets, and the arrangement format is: serial number, name, article title, publication year, volume issue and reference page number.

The monographs are arranged according to the main responsible person, title, Version (the first edition is not marked), place of publication, publisher, year of publication, and reference page numbers.

3、This journal has been included in the Chinese Academic Journal (CD version). At the same time, it has been included in China Journal Network, Wanfang database and VIP database. If the author does not agree to be included in the CD-ROM and online editions of this journal, please indicate.

4、The same paper should not be submitted to more than one editorial department (within 3 months, the editorial department will reply whether the manuscript is adopted or not). In addition, the editorial department of the journal is only responsible for the original manuscript and can make appropriate amendments to the manuscript.

The manuscript revised by the author shall be returned in time after revision within the prescribed time limit. If it is more than 2 months, the manuscript shall be automatically withdrawn by the author.

As soon as the contributions are published, they will be paid (including the remuneration for the contributions into the CD-ROM version and the online version), and the periodicals of this issue will be presented. All manuscripts not used will not be returned. Please keep the original manuscript.
